Running will net you (droks run) 20k every 15 minutes. This allows you to buy 2 ecto after each run. In 125 runs, you can make 250 ectoplasm. 125 runs will take around 1875 minutes, or 31.75 hours. So, with a little luck, you can make 250 ectoplasm in as little as TWO days, if you have almost no life.

15 minutes per run?! Maybe excluding getting people to join you/ getting dumb people who don't understand where they are supposed to pay/getting people who go afk. If you get smart groups right as soon as you enter Beacons, then maybe you could do it in 15 minutes.

Well the whole 250 ectos in 5 days is a munch of poop, however i used to farm UW "full-time" pre nightmares and i did get roughly 20 a day in the few hours i had gaming after school, but in the existing "cicumstances" you would have to play 24/7 for 5 days and hope you have favor for 5 days sraight to get 250 o_O

And yes, i do have favor pretty much 24/7. Unless, the small chance taiwan or Korea steals it for a few minutes. And u obviously did not farm "Full-time" becuase ur still i school. So unless u went to some fantasy school where u played games all day, u were part time. BTW, 49 ectos yesterday. only 21 hours of game time. Now i can go sleep for 6 hours, and do it again.

Well.. you'll notice I said "as little as" two days. Meaning it would probably take you 3-4 with the scamming and downtime between accumulating people. I just decided to calculate what it would take if there were no little bumps in the road like noobies and scammers.

This thread has gotten so far off topic I'm surprised it's not closed. One thing you have to realize, is that not everyone can do this. A large portion of the GW gaming community has school, work, or other real life activities. While it may be easy for you to get 250 ectos in 5 days, the same can't be said about everyone else. Couple that with the fact that no one sells ectos to the trader, and it's easy to see why ecto prices are high.

I think the prices are rising so much because many skill nerfs that are gonna happen, people are stocking up and seeling them for big. And because people want to sell high before new chapters.

I'm prolly not right but i gave it a shot.

Oh im sorry i have a lfie and by "full-time" i meant when i played all i did was farm and if you couldnt pick that up from what i said and only pointed that out to make an arguement you are an idiot. There is no need to brag that you famred 21 ecots in 6 hours because, 1. Its not that hard, 2. Nobody really cares, 3. This topic isnt about that and finally 4. Meh... Anyone who has so much money they can't store it obviously has more money than they'll ever need. More than 100k is one thing.... but storage can hold almost a million, can't it?

In any case.... I'm not sure why people make such a big deal about FoW armour anyway. Most of the classes' FoW armour is hideous... possible exceptions being found in the Dervish and Ritualist (minus the helm/mask in the latter case)... Haven't checked all of them in a while..... but still...

So many people seem to have FoW armour that I'd never consider it worthwhile to aquire (except in those particular cases noted)... Then again, its not as common as 15K Kurzick armour... especially on warriors. The batman clones are all over the place these days.
... I did have my mind set on Assassin's Vabbian... but since I've seen two of those (albeit female) in recent weeks, I've considered turning my attention to 15k Exotic... since I've never seen anyone wearing that.

I'm totally off-topic though.

Why don't people use Diamonds as currency instead? Its not as if they've got any actual purpose otherwise (thus less likely to have fluctuating prices), and they're rarer than Ecto to the best of my knowledge. Rubies and Sapphires would do if you need something practical.

I would be interested in a screenshot of his wealth as he should have thousands of ecto. Or maybe he show some all the ectos in trade window.

He either has no life and spends all day farming which is really sad or is lying.

@ Above poster. A million gold can be spent very quickly so yeah when you have more than you can store you can spend it very quickly. This was especially true when items were worth more. Gold has many uses and is safer than ecto hence why people have multiple accounts. Ecto fluctuates and can lead to losing gold so raw gold is safer. I know some rich players with like 10 accounts.

Diamonds don't really have a purpose at the moment... but they will just keep going UP in price if peeps start buying them. Wait a minute... you could like... make a lot of money off this. Buy 100 diamonds now at 10k each... wait for people to start buying them.. price goes up to 12k each... you make 200k profit!
